I built the first UM anagama kiln as a graduate student (MFA 1985) in 1984. I taught an anagama summer course for the University of Montana for seven years (1995-2001). In the summer of 1999, I taught a kiln construction course in which UM students and I built a new anagama kiln . This kiln’s design is similar to the Kegonsa Anagama, Stoughton, WI.
